Balanced Canine Training offers in-home canine behavior consultations and private dog obedience training for dogs and owners in West Michigan. We also offer other services to educate the public in canine selection, care, training, safety, and more.

We at Balanced Canine Training (BCT) recognize that dog behavior problems such as dog aggression, destructiveness, potty training issues, barking, jumping, digging, mouthing and biting are often symptoms of a breakdown in the human-canine relationship. Problems disappear when the break is repaired.

Karen was given the “Member of the Year 2007” award by the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), of which she is a professional member. Here she is holding her beautiful trophy at the annual IACP conference in Texas, where she also met many other canine professionals, and learned from a variety of educational seminars.

Karen is both humbled and honored by this award. She is an active member of the IACP, and during the past year served as chairperson of two committees for the international organization. She continues to serve as the Chairperson of the Canine Legislation Committee. She also earned a second President’s Star Award for her work in the past year.
